Amazing Easy Pecan Pie

This is an easy pecan pie recipe and is really good for the elderly. Since it satisfies sweet cravings and provides your body with almost all the essential nutrients. Since it is an easy home creation, you can add different toppings and ingredients to make it uniquely delicious and healthy.

It takes only about 15 minutes to put together, then another 50 min for baking. You can make your own pie shell if you want to, or get one ready-made from the store.

Pecans Are Good For You!

A study came out in 2006 by Nutrition Research that started just a handful of pecans per day can help lower coronary heart disease, due to its high levels of antioxidants (one of the highest, in the nut food group), especially Vitamin E. Pecans also contain plant sterols, which help lower bad cholesterol, one of the common elderly issues with health.

Pecans have natural, good oils, as do many nuts. They’re best eaten unsalted, for optimal health. And they’re also high in many other vitamins and minerals. So our easy pecan pie is truly nutritious.

This healthy dessert recipe can be used in a traditional pie crust, or in those little mini party pie crusts cups. So it’s great for parties and receptions too. I like to make the mini version for bridal and baby showers. It will be a hit!

Ingredients:

  • 1 unbaked pie shell (I prefer the deep kind)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 teaspoons molasses
  • 1/3 melted butter
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • Pecan halves: 1 to 1 ½ cups

Preparation time: About 15 minutes.
Before putting the ingredients into the pie crust, first put the crust and pan on top of either a cookie sheet or a drip pan first. This not only prevents the pie from dripping (and burning) while baking but also helps to have something substantial to support the pie, as it is very liquid and can spill until baked.

Beat together all of the ingredients, except the pecans, very thoroughly. When completely mixed, add in the pecans, stirring them in well. Then put the mixture into your pie crust, (with a cookie sheet or drip pan under it). Now it’s ready to bake.

Oven temp: 350 degrees Fahrenheit – First preheat your oven.
Bake time: About 50 minutes, or when the fork comes out clean.

This wonderful and easy pecan pie is excellent any time of the year (not just holidays). Surprise your family and friends – if they like pecan pie, they will love this!
